We are truly living in a complex world. The increasing interconnectedness makes even the US stock market and bond market subject to so many international variables that finding a stable place to put one's money very difficult. The shifting variables this year have made it even more difficult, with the unconventional US elections creating even more turmoil. Here is a short list of the factors I am tracking in no specific order - 1) US Elections are now 39 days away, 2) OPEC meeting on reduction of output, 3) Deutsche Bank Implosion, 4) Fed Rake Hike possibilites, 5) Low GDP forecast, and there are many others. As I write this, the futures market for the S&P500 has a distinctly negative trend, but it is Friday night and a lot can happen over the weekend. However, as I have mentioned many times before, I invest for the long run and don't worry too much about the short term movements of the market. I will be placing an order to sell all of my C Fund shares and buy 100% into the S Fund for Monday, effective Tuesday. For a technical analysis, although the Standard Deviation, risk, for the S Fund is the highest across all the Funds, the Sortino Ratio shows a considerably more efficient level of risk than the C or I Fund.
